Empowering Couples: Building on Your Strengths

Goals Of Empowering Couples:

1.  To help couples identify and build their couple strenghts.

2.  To teach couples communication and conflict resolution skills.

3.  To identify their stumbling blocks (problematic issues).

4.  To turn their stumbling blocks into stepping stones (strengths).

5.  To empower the couple to build a stronger and happier marriage.

Empowering Couples is based on a national survey of 21,501 married couples.  This data was used to itdentify common stumbling blocks (issues) for couples. In addition, a comparison of happy and unhappy couples was done to identify the strenghts of happy couples.

We will focus on the 10 most important areas of couple relationships including: couple communication, conflict resolution, roles, finances, spiritual beliefs, sexuality, couple closeness and flexibility, parenting and couple goals.

When:  Saturday Afternoons -- 2:00 pm -- 3:30 pm September 12 to October 17

Where:  Clairemont Seventh-day Adventist Church

Cost:  Time, Commitment, Happiness and $35.00 for books and other materials.
